Lebanese scholar offers condolences on martyrdom of senior Iranian officials "Blood of martyrs nurtures revolution"

A senior Lebanese religious scholar has offered his condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation following the martyrdom of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, his son, and a number of their companions, stating that the blood of martyrs only strengthens the roots of the Islamic Revolution.

ABNA24 - A senior Lebanese religious scholar has offered his condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation following the martyrdom of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, his son, and a number of their companions, stating that the blood of martyrs only strengthens the roots of the Islamic Revolution.

Hojatoleslam Ali Al-Khatib, the vice president of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of Lebanon, issued two messages of condolence—one addressed to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and another to Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani, the head of the Expediency Discernment Council.

'A martyr who attained his deepest desire'

In his message to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Al-Khatib expressed that he received the news of the martyrdom of the "great commander and sincere mujahid" with a heart full of faith and submission to divine will.

"Martyr Larijani attained the station he had always longed for," the message read. "After a life filled with service in the trenches confronting the enemies of the revolution and humanity, he joined the caravan of martyrs, at the forefront of whom stands his companion and teacher, the martyred Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei."

The Lebanese scholar emphasized that the martyr's sacrifice reaffirms a timeless truth: "The blood of martyrs waters the pure tree of the revolution, making it deeper-rooted and more fruitful."

'Engineer of balances' in the Islamic system

Al-Khatib described the martyred official as a noble symbol of the faithful and sincere servant who dedicated his life to the Islamic Revolution and the nation. He highlighted Larijani's distinguished career, from his role as head of parliament to secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, noting his strategic vision and political acumen.

"He was known as a strategic thinker and seasoned politician who bridged religious experience and philosophical wisdom, earning the title of the 'Engineer of Balances' within the Islamic system," Al-Khatib stated. "He was a man who never absented himself from the arena of management and was present with insight and wisdom in the most difficult moments."

'A great loss in exceptional times'

The vice president of Lebanon's Supreme Islamic Shia Council acknowledged that the loss of intellectual and jihadi figures of Larijani's caliber represents a immense tragedy, particularly during the exceptional circumstances Iran and the Ummah are currently facing.

However, he noted that the greatest consolation lies in the steadfastness and cohesion of the Islamic system and the wisdom of its leadership, "which steers the ship through storms and wars."

Al-Khatib specifically praised the martyred official's conduct in his final days, particularly his emphasis on the path of selecting the new Leader and thwarting enemy plots—testament to his penetrating insight and profound sense of responsibility until the very end.

'A brother and pillar' lost

In a separate message addressed to Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani, Al-Khatib offered his deepest condolences on the martyrdom of his brother.

"We received the news with hearts filled with sorrow and submission to divine will," the message read. "The martyred official was a prominent national figure who dedicated his life to the service of the Islamic Revolution and the nation—from the presidency of parliament to the trusteeship of the Supreme National Security Council. He was an example of the faithful and sincere official who spared no effort in defending the country's interests and values."

Al-Khatib concluded that while the loss of a brother and pillar in these difficult circumstances is a heavy calamity, solace is found in the knowledge that the martyred Larijani was counted among the righteous and the faithful to the cause, and that God honored him with a blessed end.

The scholar offered prayers for the martyrs to be granted the highest station in paradise alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and for patience to be bestowed upon their families.
